This chapter considers offences related to homicide, including causing or allowing a child or vulnerable person to die or suffer serious physical harm, solicitation of murder, threats to kill, encouraging or assisting suicide, abortion, and child destruction. It considers a number of statutory provisions, including the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004, the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims (Amendment) Act 2012, the Offences against the Person Act 1861, the Suicide Act 1961, the Abortion Act 1967 and the Infant Life (Preservation) Act 1929.
